These are relatively uncommon mental conditions which affects peoples thinking, emotions and the ability to discern what is real or not real.
These conditions can also make a person hear or see things that aren’t there (hallucinations) or be suspicious or believe in things that aren’t true (delusions)
A person with this condition may also develop tendency to be isolated and may struggle with activities of daily living or work.
